Finally got to eat here after almost 2 hours of drive from CT. They were out of some dishes on a Sunday at 5 and place was still busy. Had the isaw, chicken feet, chicharon bulaklak and chicken skin... everything was great! I wanted the kansi but they didn't have it and so is the bulalo, got the sinigang lechon instead... just okay, I guess I just didn't like that the pork belly was fried. Portion was big though and plenty of veggies. BF loved the chicken inasal and I had the grilled stuffed squid.. it was good but a little chewy, so i personally will not order it again. Jayhan's makes really good Filipino food since I've tried a-lot from their menu as to go orders. It's really hard to decide what to eat from here.

Restaurant had plenty of seating yet crowded during early afternoon. Server directed us to a table quickly and provided us a menu and water. They were gracious to enough to let us wait for another friend to join. The beef kare-kare was okay. It didn't wasn't as peanuty as I would have liked it. Isaw baboy was amazing. The meat was soo tender and delicious. The halo-halo was interesting. The mix of so many different sweets was unique. However, I felt the limited quantity of ingredients like flan reduced the enjoyment.
Alleluia!! FINALLY a Filipino spot that is ACTUALLY PROUD TO BE FILIPINO!! The signage outside say "Filipino"...online it says "Filipino"..they have Filipino decorations, flag and fotos....unlike 99% of all NY NJ Filipino spots that are ASHAMED to be Filipino with ethnically ambiguous names, no mention anywhere of being Filipino, no Flag ..with Chinese or Italian Decorations. THE FOOD IS FANTASTIC!! EVERYTHING IS SOOOOOO GOOD! & Best Sisig ever!! The inside of the place is so cute and cozy. I went all the way from NYC and was very happy with Jayhan!!!
So yummy! We ordered the lumpia, kare-kare, inihaw na liempo and pork bbq. It was all so delicious! My toddler is such a picky eater and he loved the food! The service was very nice, friendly and quick. My only complaint is that the restaurant smelled so strongly of cleaning chemicals. I came back home with a headache. While I admire the cleanliness, if it could be better ventilated it would be perfect. Fyi, it's Jersey City so it's street parking. It's definitely worth the trip here for delicious Filipino food.
